Description
This is incense burner in shape of the peacock displaying his tail. TAKAHASHI Kaisyu inlays with the alloy of silver and gold-copper alloy into the iron by the technique of the Kaga-inlay. On the part of the tail, he chiseled the iron along the curved surface inside and inlay by his high technique. On the feather, it expresses the line and the plane by Seigaiha (ocean waves) pattern. This work represents the simple and the quiet tastes of the iron.
