- Description
- This ornament is a life-size statue of quail in a birdcage. There are the excellent techniques of engraving at the feather etc. To express the atmosphere, YAMAKAWA Koji I designs Japanese pampas grasses, bush clovers and bellflowers in gold and silver inlay. He does not make a simple statue of quail. He puts a feeder, a door that can operate and put the statue of quail into the birdcage. This represents the trend of the Meiji Era for thoroughgoing realistic.
