Description
In this Kano school style of design a purple bird is located at the center giving a strong impression, the purple is repeated in the tree trunk, leaves are green and yellow, and flowers are red. Outlining in black shows excellent power as well as drawing attention to a bold characteristic of Old-Kutani ware. The variation in line width creates a ring of petals around the flower, which is separated into eight sections with distinct patterns in yellow, green, purple and dark-blue. The total effect is outstanding.
