- TAKEDA Aritsune developed his own techniques in underglaze gold in his later years that led to his own clearly identifiable style. This work created a great stir at the 8th Japan Tradition Arts and Crafts Exhibition, held in 1961. He exhibited his craft works at many subsequent exhibitions including the Japan Tradition Arts and Crafts Exhibition. This bowl has a design of mixed and tangled ivy leaves in gold and strong yellowish green, giving this work its own unique character.
