Description
"HIMI Kodo makes the diamond-shapes from a black persimmon, a camphor, a zelkova, a horse chestnut and a Jindai cedar, and put together those to match their grain and shading of their bark.
The whole surface of this box is coated with thin lacquer and more decorated with the silver wire inlay. He has skillfully assimilated the taste of the imperial treasures housed in Shosoin that is the origin of this work. This is marvelous with elegancy and dignity."
