Description
This is a foliated bowl with the brim designed as eight flowers. In the center of the flat bottom there is a Kirin (an imaginary animal), pine trees, bamboo, plum trees and a flowing stream painted around it. In the margin part there are four windows in which peony and arabesque are designed.Four colors, violet, green, ultramarine and yellow are used. In addition gold color is used as an accent. In the center of foot the Chinese character "福 " is enclosed in a double rectangle. To the left of it, there is written, "this work was made in the year of the Rat in the Bunsei era (1828) at Kutani ". Underneath, on the base in Chinese characters "豊田" is written inside a single green rectangular box.
