Description
This is a shallow bowl with boldly arranged big peony blossoms. Including two flowers, in full bloom and budding, large leaves, and curved branches, the Old-Kutani characteristics are undeniably in evidence. The base glaze design is filled with small flower motifs and the whole surface is colored violet, green and yellow. On the underside, two layers of dynamically wavy and scrolling clouds are portrayed. Within the high cut base, the Chinese character "福 " is enclosed within a double rectangle, and the entire under side is glazed light green.
