- The design of this work creates a unique harmony between the poppies and the Chinese basket. For balance, the colors in red and blue accent the wide space in white and the edge in clear red. The Morning Glory and the vine on the back suggest a fresh and plentiful world. TOMIMOTO Kenkichi fired works many times at KITADE Tojiro’s kiln in Ishikawa Prefecture. This is one of them.
