"This work is designated as a Cultural Property of Ishikawa Prefecture.
“ I take my ease at a hot spring at Yamanaka in the autumn of 1689 that surpasses medical effect of chrysanthemum.” This is a present under the nom de plume of Toyo to the 14-year-old owner of a hot spring inn in Izumi-ya in Yamanaka, where MATSUO Basho stayed from July 27 to August 4, 1689 during his travels."
