Description
"This work is designated as an Important Cultural Asset of the Japanese nation.
It is also known as the Hon''ami fragment, because HON''AMI Koetsu originally owned, it was probably written by ONO Tofu. This segment is a part of a series of poems, author unknown, from the 18th volume of the Kokin-shu anthology. The paper on which it is written is a rare type, with white pigment mixed with mica as the background. It is of particular value due to the beautiful cursive style of writing comprising unbroken, rounded characters."
