- Description
- This is a covered vessel consisting of one part of the body cut into a short cover and the remaining base section. On the surface of the cover there is a landscape and palace in a frame of eight flowers painted in very thin lines, colored in red, yellow, ultramarine and yellow green. On the sides, landscape figures in overglaze enamel and lions holding treasures are portrayed in exquisite overglaze red enamel, each frame is linked with red-spotted design and ornamented with arabesque motifs. The cover brim is colored yellow, while a margin of the base section is green. In the center of the cover there is an emblem read "小野 (ono)" shown enclosed with a double rectangle.
