- MAEDA Seison, well-known as a painter using bright colors, broke new ground in the field of ink painting. This work, covered with quotes from historical Oriental literature, is simple, consisting mainly of lines. The rhythmical lines, however, freely stretch and move as if they are alive and carry their own emotional charge.
