Date

Description
"This work is designated as a Cultural Property of Ishikawa Prefecture.
In the Momoyama era, the popularity of ancient calligraphic scripts resulted in many Tekagami albums being made to store them. This work is a systematic collection of examples by Emperor Shomu, continuing through to Shokado Shojo and Kobori Enshu and includes examples of writings by emperors, princes, the peerage, poets, warriors and Renga poets, covering the development of calligraphy from the Nara era to the early Edo era. It also contains examples of 274 poems. Both artistically and materially, this is a valuable album."
