- This two-fold screen is designed with a beach with surf floating in the waves and rocks. It is decorated in gold maki-e lacquer, the mother-of pearl work using inlaid pearl-oyster shell, silver metal decoupage, and coral. This two-folded screen strikes a poetically harmonious balance between traditional techniques and modern sensibilities.
