- Description
- HAZAMA Inosuke is well known as an oil painter but not many people know that in his later years he built a kiln in Suisaka in Kaga region and produced ceramics under the name of Sansaitei. For this work, he selected the landscape of Minokake-shima Island near the end of the Izu Peninsula as a motif during a stay in Ito in Shizuoka Prefecture. He expresses a refreshing landscape in early spring characterized by the clear sky and sea and flowering rape blossoms.
